The blood red lips enticed me

to kiss, such exquisiteness.

A body of persuasion that

enveloped my very being.

You knew of my desire,

my ever present need,

for in my eyes I only saw

the depth of your soul.

‘Twas in the deep blue skies

the stars shone brightly

because of you.

But alas,

it was unrequited love

that eventually

brought me down

into darkest despair.

Now all I see is your spirit

floating, in the aura

of my doubts and fears.
